Q: Do you accept entries from writers living outside of the United States?
A: Yes, as long as the scripts are written in English.

Q: What payment options are available to writers living outside the U.S.?
A: We accept two methods of payments:

Credit cards (with information as listed on the entry form) and Money orders in US dollars drawn on a U.S. bank.

We cannot accept personal checks drawn on non-U.S. banks.

Q: I am unsuccessful in downloading the entry form. What could be my problem?
A: The entry form is an Acrobat® file, and you need to have Adobe® Acrobat on your computer to read it. For a free download go to http://www.adobe.com - it's quick and easy. If you are still unable to access the entry form, please email us at info@hollywoodgateway.com with your fax number or snail mail address. We will forward you a hardcopy of the entry form immediately.

Q: Will you accept cash as payment for the entry fee, or does it have to be in the form of a check or money order?
A: We cannot accept cash payment. Please make a check or money order payable to "Hollywood Gateway Screenwriting Competition". If you choose to use a credit card, you may do so by filling out the information on the entry form.

Q: Do you want the writer's contact info included on the title page?
A: Yes, please include your contact information on the title page.

Q: Do you want spec scripts without any camera directions or angles?
A: Yes.

Q: Which do you prefer, 2 or 3 brass brads?
A: You are welcome to submit the script whichever way you prefer.

Q: Do you want the title of the script written on its spine?
A: The title of the script does not need to be included on the spine.

Q: Do you want a synopsis included with the script either bound or non attached?
A: You may include or omit the synopsis, as you see fit.

Q: Are you accepting scripts written in foreign languages?
A: Only scripts written in English can be entered in this competition.

Q: Do you require a specific format for the title page?
A: You are welcome to format the title page as you see fit.

Q: Do I need to use a specific entry form to submit?
A: The official Hollywood Gateway Screenwriting Competition submission form is required to accompany your submission. You can access it by clicking here. There you can find the contest rules, requirements on the contest entry form.

Q: Are you accepting all genres?
A: Yes

Q: Submission Guidelines clearly state that all screenplay submissions must be, "bound." Is there a special binding needed for my script to qualify?
A: The industry standard will suffice, i.e., 3-hole punched paper, 2-3 brass brads, and cardstock for the cover and backing.

Q: Do contestants get any feedback from their script if they are not one of the finalists?
A: No feedback will be given on non-finalist submissions.
