Brent Armitage: Writer - Producer - Director - Entrepreneur
Brent Armitage combines more than 20 years experience as a writer, producer and director. Of his most notable credits is the acclaimed black comedy gem, Grosse Pointe Blank, on which he was a producer. He has written and/or produced projects for Warner Brothers, Columbia Pictures, Sandollar, Columbia TriStar Pictures, Imagine Entertainment and Granada Films among others. Armitage’s passion for writing inspired his recent adaptation of Ranulph Fiennes’ best-selling novel The Feather Men.
After starting his career as an actor, Armitage moved behind the camera on such projects as Swing Shift and Miami Blues then launched his writing career with his adaptation of the Gregory MacDonald novel Scutter. Other screenplay credits include Mr. Personality and Sideswipe. He is currently developing several projects through his New Shoes Productions and is planning to direct his first feature this summer.
